Ultra Knowledge Search Technology has extended search off the search page by making 'Information Triggers' available anywhere on your site. Ultra Knowledge Search is user-centric and, as such, looks for ways to help the user manage the search process. While the User might not know what keywords will deliver the content that they are looking for, they are well equipped to recognise what they are seeking when helped by 'Information Triggers'. The terms and phrases delivered are able to trigger informed, intuitive decisions that allow the User to find what interests them. These 'information triggers' are not just available on the search page but can be embedded in important areas on any Web page. Essentially, Search Assisted Navigation is about being able to tell the User at any time that there is a range of up-to-date subject matter available that is either directly or laterally related to the information they are currently reading. With one click the User is taken to another page containing information that is relevant to a subject or topic that has triggered their interest. 'Information Triggers' and Search Assisted Navigation are a powerful addition to your current site navigation system. These navigational search tools can appear in a number of formats, which relate to the use of the page where they are located. Examples of these formats are: Article TagsAny article being displayed can have a box added to it that contains the significant terms that are contained in the article. Simply by clicking on one of these tags the user can instigate a search that will return further articles that are focused on a particular topic mentioned in the original article. Related Search TagsWhen a user enters a search term, relevant, related tags are automatically displayed to help the user refine their search. These information triggers instantly expand the users knowledge of the content that is available.
To see the Related Tags in action on Zdnet click here Tag CloudsThis is a device that can display a set of tags that relate to any specific set of documents. These are two of the Tag Cloud forms available: Channel or Section Clouds – a dynamic summation of the significant tags or phrases that come from the latest ‘n’ articles added
Hot Topics Clouds- a summation of the latest 'n' articles to be added to the whole site giving the user a set of dynamically updated information triggers. Ultra Knowledge's Active Concept Engine (ACE) extracts relevant phrases and tags from indexed content automatically and dynamically. There is no pre-definition or manual intervention in the process and the triggers produced will reflect the influence of the latest content published on the site.
